I have always played around with the idea of owning a real corset. I've picked up a few here or there at Hot Topic or Torrid, but this year I'm going all in. Full on silk with steel boning corset. I got fitted for one with the help of Scarlett's Corset last year and this time around I'm making my dream a reality.
Yes it is an investment piece. No I wouldn't just recommend that Joe Schmoe off the street buy one (unless Joe had the figure and the disposable income, which if both of those are true he needs to come holler at me). I consider it a personal gift to myself, which after YEARS of wanting I'm finally in the place in my life to buy.
